Isabelle Tremblay Confirms: Mosport in Three Days, Followed by the Premier Races in the Canadian NASCAR Championship Français
MONTREAL, May 16, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Isabelle Tremblay, the only woman driver registered in a major Canadian racing championship, announced today that she has signed several sponsorship agreements giving her the green light for her racing season. Thanks to the support of Frank Lyman Design, Archibald restaurant et microbrasserie, Prêt Auto à Rabais.com and Hamel BMW, she will be participating in the four premier races of the NASCAR Canadian Tire championship series. This announcement was made during a press conference at the Restaurant Chez Alexandre organized by Isabelle Tremblay for her initial meeting with Montréal media.
"I am proud to be associated with Quebec businesses that have made their mark here as well as elsewhere in the world. I truly appreciate their support and everyone else's. The encouragement of motor sport fans and the respect of my peers are invaluable to me and the support of strong partners is crucial. I am confident and I expect to do even better this year in the four major NASCAR Canadian Tire races. I am also hoping to attract additional sponsors so that I can take part in all of the races."
While waiting for additional partners to finance her participation in all races on the NASCAR 2012 calendar, Isabelle Tremblay plans to do her sponsors and the public proud on May 19 and 20 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park event (Bowmanville, Ontario), June 2 and 3 on the ICAR circuit in Mirabel, August 4 and 5 at the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix, and on August 17 and 18 on the Gilles Villeneuve circuit. She will be joining the new team of driver Martin Roy.
These events will give all racing fans the chance to follow the progress of this amazing woman's career. From the beginning, she has sparked the public's imagination with her performances and her personality.
Originally from Lac St. Jean and now living in St. Jérôme, this single mother has travelled an unusual path, juggling a career as a real estate agent with her passion for car racing until, in January 2011, she decided to devote herself entirely to racing.
Determined, fiery and generous, Isabelle Tremblay is adept at attracting supporters and winning over detractors through her perseverance and iron will, which in no way detract from her spontaneity, enthusiasm and charm, for which she is known.
Isabelle Tremblay began her racing career in 2008, winning at Enduro 200 at the Autodrome St-Eustache. In 2009, she was crowned champion of the Tigresses division during that same race, finishing 4th in the Challenge 4 championship and 8th in the Legends Modified. In 2010, she participated in the full NASCAR Sportsman Ippersield season, finishing 9th in the General class, while making her debut in the prestigious NASCAR Canadian Tire championship in July 2010 in Toronto.
In 2011, Isabelle Tremblay took on more challenges, participating in three different championships. She wore the colours of Dave Jacombs Racing throughout the NASCAR Canadian Tire series where she finished 12th overall, only one point behind Louis-Philippe Dumoulin in the final ranking for Rookie of the Year. She remained the face of ISARacing Team at the Autodrome St-Eustache during the Sportsman championship and raced single-seaters for the Britain West Motorsport team in the Formula Tour 1600 series, claiming victory in the Masters class during the Canadian Grand Prix support race.
In addition to the experience acquired in the last two years, and combined with attending renowned driving schools in the U.S., Isabelle Tremblay can count on the infallible support of Bertrand Godin, a well-known Quebec driver. Godin has been alongside Isabelle from the get-go, providing her with the necessary coaching as she strives for the highest podium steps.
In addition to Frank Lyman Design, Archibald restaurant et microbrasserie, Prêt Auto à Rabais.com and Hamel BMW of Blainville, Isabelle Tremblay is supported by several sponsors including Studio PowerCoach of St. Sauveur, CriMoMedia.com, Canadian Tire St. Jérôme and Robert Parent, philosophe d'action.
