TORONTO, April 19, 2016 /CNW/ - iSIGN Media Solutions Inc. ("iSIGN" or "Company") (TSX-V: ISD) (OTC: ISDSF), a leading provider of interactive mobile proximity advertising solutions announces the signing of a Agency Sales Agreement ("Agreement") with The Mobile Experience Company ("MobileXCo") allowing iSIGN to sell MobileXCo's Tether™ Mobile Coupon Technology ("Tether™) in conjunction with iSIGN's Smart Antenna.
The Agreement is for three years and is renewable for an additional three year period. iSIGN will receive a 40% commission per coupon delivery initiated by iSIGN's Smart Antenna and 20% on the set-up fee to use MobileXCo's Tether™ solution in conjunction with iSIGN's Smart Antenna.
The features that makes MobileXCo's technology of interest to iSIGN, is that it provides proof of redemption without the need for point-of-sale system integration or an app download. It also allows for a more complete automated reporting process – from message delivery through redemption – closing the loop between advertising and purchasing.
MobileXCo's Tether™ technology removes the most common barriers preventing many retailers from adopting mobile couponing as part of their strategy. Web-based mobile coupons are delivered by text message and accessed with a mobile browser. The request-based process invites consumers to simply enter their mobile phone number into a form, click a link and show their mobile screen to a retail staff person when ready to redeem. To validate the coupon, a retail staff person verbally provides a redemption code to the consumer and visually confirms the coupon has been voided before processing the discount just as they would with a paper coupon. Neither retailers nor consumers need any special hardware or software. Go here to watch a short visual demonstration of MobileXCo's coupon system in action: http://mxco.co/coupons.
MobileXCo recognizes that iSIGN's Smart Antenna can be used to prompt consumers to request their clients' coupons when in proximity to their retail locations, thus making their solution more attractive and effective by giving immediate real-time reach metrics – audience count per location, acceptance and rejection of messaging, etc.
When combined, the two technologies are seamless and symbiotic, delivering a unique and exclusive messaging and coupon redemption process that captures the full range of engagement and consumer metrics relevant to savvy marketers.
The management of both companies have a longstanding relationship with IBM and have previously worked together on award-winning kiosk and messaging systems, dating back to 2010.
Both companies look forward to increased customer demand and revenues.
