Invests $100,000 in youth-serving initiatives across Manitoba

WINNIPEG, May 12, 2014 /CNW/ - Today, on Manitoba Day in honour of Manitoba's birthday and MTS's commitment to its home province, MTS announces the 10 organizations selected to receive the first series of $10,000 Future First grants, and to highlight and celebrate their valuable work in the community.
The inaugural MTS Future First Community Grant recipients are:

- Broadway Neighbourhood Centre - Just TV
- Conseil Jeunesse Provincial - L'Élan
- DASCH - The Scrap Came Back
- École Opasquia School, The Pas MB - Genius Hour
- FortWhyte Alive - FortWhyte Farms
- Making Waves Winnipeg - Making Waves Summer Camp
- Manitoba School Improvement Program - The Peaceful Village
- Manitoba Wheelchair Sport Association - Mini Paralympic Camp
"When you see the amazing work so many individuals and organizations are doing for youth in our province and the impact it has on our community, you realize what an opportunity we have, as a company, as citizens, to be part of something extraordinary," said Pierre Blouin, Chief Executive Officer.
