It’s not too late – Have your say about Ontario’s Worst Roads
THORNHILL, ON, May 27, 2013 /CNW/ - With just five days remaining in CAA's annual Worst Roads campaign, several roads in southern and northern Ontario are within a few votes of each other, and contending for the top spot on the Top 10 List.
"CAA's Worst Roads campaign is an opportunity for the public to draw attention to the roads across Ontario that are in desperate need of attention," said Faye Lyons, Government Relations, CAA South Central Ontario (CAA SCO).
Ontarians can cast their ballots at www.worstroads.ca until May 31. You can nominate as many different roads as you like, but you can't vote for the same road twice.
"CAA wants to hear about your experiences as a motorist, pedestrian or cyclist. We also want to know your reason for selecting these roads, whether it is frustration with congestion, poorly timed traffic lights, or confusing road signs," added Lyons. "With just days remaining, there is still time for Ontarians to help shape CAA's Top 10 List for 2013."
Since the campaign began on May 1, the Top 10 List has featured roads from numerous Ontario towns and cities, including: Windsor, London, Hamilton, Toronto, Kingston and Ottawa.
Once voting has closed, CAA will compile a list of the Top 10 Worst Roads in the province and make recommendations to the provincial and municipal governments. The Top 10 List will be revealed in mid-June.
