State Farm® grants $24,000 to help high school students enjoy a safe prom night
AURORA, ON, May 31, 2016 /CNW/ - Your high school graduation is a cherished memory that will last a lifetime. As students gather to celebrate this wonderful achievement and memorable chapter in their lives it's important that they do so in a fun and safe environment.
New Brunswick's Safe Grad celebrates the message that high school graduation can be done in a safe and secure way, promoting the exclusion of drugs and alcohol. This year over 3200 students can participate in all night activities after prom that include; beach volleyball, swimming, scavenger hunt, dunk tank, bonfires and fireworks. Some schools bus students to a hall or university where they will partake in the various activities and stay overnight. Dinner, late night meals, snacks, and breakfast are also supplied.
State Farm is providing a $24,000 grant to 14 New Brunswick high schools. The money goes to providing Safe Grad packages to each student participating as well as a $500 monetary donation to each school that will go to help fund Safe Grad activities.
