OTTAWA, Aug. 21, 2017 /CNW/ - Their Excellencies the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, and Mrs. Sharon Johnston are pleased to invite members of the public to Rideau Hall Movie Nights, on Saturday, August 26, 2017. This free, fun-filled event features outdoor screenings of Canadian content on the grounds of the official residence of the governor general. This year's feature film is Bon Cop Bad Cop 2.
As of 8 p.m., members of the public are invited to bring their blankets, settle in with some free popcorn and enjoy special pre-screening entertainment. The Canadian Armed Forces String Ensemble will perform, and a series of short videos featuring recipients of Canadian honours will be presented.
To showcase Canadian television, we will feature a French episode of "Dino Dana" produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment and an English episode of "Mohawk Girls" produced by Rezolution Pictures, prior to the feature film.
Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 is fully bilingual (mixture of English and French dialogue) with English and French subtitles.

8 p.m.
- Music from the Canadian Armed Forces String Ensemble
- Free popcorn available on-site on a first-come, first-served basis
- Presentation of short videos featuring recipients of Canadian honours
8:30 p.m.
- Address by the Governor General
8:35 p.m.
- Presentation of a French episode of "Dino Dana"
8:46 p.m.
- Presentation of an English episode of "Mohawk Girls"
9:10 p.m.
- Screening of feature film Bon Cop Bad Cop 2 (Running time: 126 min. Rated 14A)

Rideau Hall Movie Nights feature English- and French-Canadian films, screened on the grounds of Rideau Hall. Members of the public are invited to bring their blankets, settle in with some free popcorn and watch these films under the stars.
