Learn how to save on energy bills and earn up to $5000 back with Enbridge Gas'
Home Energy Conservation Program at the 2018 National Home Show.
TORONTO, March 8, 2018 /CNW/ - Enbridge Gas is teaching visitors to the 2018 National Home Show how they can save both energy and money with Granny's House, an interactive home energy conservation display at the at the 2018 National Home Show.
Complete with wood paneling, plastic on the couch and vintage wallpaper, Granny's House takes show visitors back in time with outdated home energy features, proving that not everything vintage should be treasured. From March 9 - 18, 2018, homeowners can interact with features like an antique thermostat, old insulation, drafty outlets and inefficient windows to learn about important energy-efficient upgrades that not only reduce monthly household energy bills, but improve home comfort overall.
Visitors can also learn about Enbridge's Home Energy Conservation Program, delivered in partnership with the Government of Ontario and for a limited time with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) and Save on Energy Program. Qualified homeowners who use natural gas, propane, oil, wood, or electricity to heat their home, can receive incentives up to $5,000.
This program makes it easy and affordable for homeowners to improve the energy efficiency of their homes, lower energy bills and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
By visiting Granny's House, visitors will learn about various ways to upgrade their homes, including how you can save energy and money on your energy bills.
Incentives
Customers must complete a minimum of two upgrades to qualify for rebates.
- Upgrading a furnace or boiler heating system (up to $1,000)
- Installing a Water heater or an air source heat pump (up to $500)
- Upgrading insulation (up to $1,750 per insulation)
- Air sealing (up to $150)
- Installing energy efficient windows or doors (approximately $80 each)
