Jacques-Cartier Bridge - Île Ste-Hélène Access Ramp (entry and exit) Closed for 2 Nights Towards Montreal Français
LONGUEUIL, QC, Aug. 1, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) is informing motorists that the access ramp enabling both entry and exit to Île Ste-Hélène from the Jacques-Cartier Bridge towards Montreal will be completely closed to traffic from 11 PM to 9 AM the night of Wednesday, August 1st to Thursday, August 2 and the night of Thursday, August 2 to Friday, August 3rd.
The access ramp to Île Ste-Hélène by the Jacques-Cartier Bridge towards the South Shore will remain open during this period, allowing for access to the island at all times. This work involves the paving of the ramp. The entire ramp will be milled (scarification of existing asphalt) on the first night, and then repaved in the second.
The closures on this access ramp have been scheduled during weeknights, not during fireworks evenings, in order to reduce the impact on road users.
The sidewalk and bike path on the Jacques-Cartier Bridge will remain accessible during these closures.
