Jacques Cartier Bridge - Night Closure on Monday, July 9: One Lane Open in Each Direction from 9 PM to 5 AM

LONGUEUIL, QC, July 9, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) is advising road users that only one lane will be open in each direction on the Jacques-Cartier Bridge beginning at 9 PM on Monday, July 9 and ending at 5 AM on Tuesday, July 10. During this period, the bridge's access ramp from Saint-Laurent Street at Longueuil towards Montreal will also be closed.

The goal of this closure is to perform tests related to the upcoming road work blitz on the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, taking place on July 22, 23, 24 and on July 28, 29, 30, during the Construction Holiday.

The sidewalk and bike path on the Jacques-Cartier Bridge will remain open during this period.

Please note that this closure could be postponed due to weather conditions and would then be moved to the following night.
