Jacques Cartier Bridge - Opening of the bike path for the 2010 season
LONGUEUIL, QC, March 2 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wishes to inform cyclists that the bike path located on the West side of the Jacques Cartier Bridge will partially reopen for the 2010 season on Thursday, March 4- a clear sign that spring is upon us.
Since the normal access from Longueuil is presently blocked with ice and snow residues, cyclists wishing to access the bridge are required to temporarily use the stairway located on St-Charles street.
JCCBI will inform cyclists as soon as the cycling path and sidewalk will be fully functional. Any unexpected upcoming bad weather conditions may have an impact on this announcement. The Corporation sends its good wishes to all cyclists in the greater Montreal area.
