LONGUEUIL, QC, March 13, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wishes to inform cyclists that the bike path, located on the West side of the Jacques Cartier Bridge, will reopen for the 2012 season on Wednesday, March 14 at 6 PM - a clear sign that spring is upon us.
A mechanical broom will cross the bike path during the day on March 14, to perform cleaning of the path before allowing its opening. A message will be posted on Twitter (@pontjcbridge)as soon as the bike path will be open after this operation, to allow cyclists to use it as soon as possible. A team will also be in place during the rest of the week to finalize the cleanup, but will not impede the passage of cyclists.
The Corporation wishes a good biking season to all cyclists in the Greater Montreal area.
