LONGUEUIL, QC, July 13 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wish to announce the rehabilitation of the southern approaches to the Jacques Cartier Bridge on the Longueuil side (Viaduc B), starting July 19 until November.
This construction will require the complete closure of access to the Jacques Cartier Bridge towards Montreal by Saint-Laurent and Sainte-Hélène streets for about 5 months. Detour roads will be made available to motorists until November, to access the Jacques Cartier Bridge by Taschereau Boulevard West. Bridge access will remain open through Taschereau Boulevard East during the majority of this work.
Along with this permanent closure, a number of night closures will also limit access to the bridge. Detour roads will be made available to motorists in each case.
We invite you to consult our map (http://bit.ly/aUUysz) to get an overview of recommended detour roads from July to November. Motorists are also invited to visit our new blog at www.jacquescartierbridge.ca. Regular updates will be made, so that you can follow the progress of our work and stay informed of night closures.
