LONGUEUIL, QC, Jan. 29, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wishes to announce that the complete closure of the Jacques Cartier Bridge at night from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. will resume during the night of Sunday, February 2 to Monday, February 3, to complete repairs at the steel structure under the Bridge.
During this period, the road users are invited to use the Champlain and Victoria Bridges, or the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel.
Those repairs at the steel structure will also be the cause of several closures of one or two lanes in one or the other direction in the upcoming weeks. They will occur at night, during the week.
Those closures are part of the Jacques Cartier Bridge maintenance program, whose longevity is ensured by such regular works.
At the beginning of March, other complete night closures will be needed to perform the replacement of bearing devices.
To follow the work and closures required, we invite road users to visit our blog: www.jacquescartierbridge.ca.
