MONT-TREMBLANT, QC, June 17 /CNW Telbec/ - Canadian auto racing hero Jacques Villeneuve will serve as Grand Marshal for an upcoming historic auto race at renowned Circuit Mont-Tremblant, it was announced today.
The popular 1997 Formula One Champion and 1995 Indy Car World Series Champion will meet fans and participants alike at the Legends of Motorsports, a Bobby Rahal Signature Event to be held July 9-11, 2010. Villeneuve, winner of the 1995 Indianapolis 500, leads a growing list of Canadian drivers who will attend the family-friendly race weekend and automotive lifestyle festival.

Since 1966, scenic Circuit Mont-Tremblant has hosted many of Canada's most storied racing events made famous by the driving exploits of the world's greatest drivers including the likes of Jacques' father, the late Canadian racing legend Gilles Villeneuve.
Tucked amid the scenic Laurentian Mountain, the now 2.65-mile, 15-turn track has twice previously hosted the Canadian Grand Prix of the Formula One World Championship. Epic races among the legendary Can-Am, Trans-Am and other notable series have equally thrilled and delighted fans here.
The upcoming Legends of Motorsports historic races at Mont-Tremblant will include a variety of classes and cars. Among them Historic Grand Prix, Can-Am, Trans-Am, GTP Group C, F.I.A. Championship of Makes, Thunder and Lightning Production Cars, 2.0 Liter Sports Cars, IMSA GT Production Cars, USRRC Sports Cars, Formula Libre, Classic Monoposto and Fabulous Fifties.
Tickets for Legends of Motorsports at Circuit Mont-Tremblant are value-priced at $15 Friday; $30 Saturday, $30 Sunday, and $50 for a Saturday-Sunday two-day pass.
