Jaguar Mining Announces Senior Management Changes

TORONTO, Feb. 19, 2016 /CNW/ - Jaguar Mining Inc. ("Jaguar" or the "Company") (TSXV: JAG) today announced that, effective immediately, Hashim Ahmed, Vice President of Finance, has been appointed Interim Chief Financial Officer. Derrick Weyrauch, Chief Financial Officer, has stepped down to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Ahmed will oversee Jaguar's accounting functions and financial controls until the Company completes its search for a new permanent Chief Financial Officer.
"With a strong background in finance in the mining sector, Hashim has a valuable understanding of our Company and I am confident he is the right leader to take on the role of Interim CFO as we initiate our search for a permanent CFO," stated Rodney Lamond, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jaguar Mining. The Company has initiated its search for a new Chief Financial Officer and continues to be led by Rodney Lamond, Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Lamond is a seasoned mining professional and engineer with more than 27 years of experience in mine operations, development, exploration and executive management.
