Introduced to HBO Canada audiences in SUMMER HEIGHTS HIGH, JA'MIE: PRIVATE SCHOOL GIRL follows eponymous school captain Ja'mie during the last few months of her final year of school, far removed from the grounds of Summer Heights High and back on the lush manicured lawns of Hillford Girls Grammar School. Returning to her private school roots, the series highlights the trials and responsibilities that come with being the "most well-known" girl on campus, including her academic and charity work, social life and relationships with family. The series is produced by Lilley and his producing partner, Laura Waters, who previously teamed up for SUMMER HEIGHTS HIGH and ANGRY BOYS.
JA'MIE: PRIVATE SCHOOL GIRL was created by Chris Lilley, who is also the series' writer, star and co-producer; Laura Waters executive produces; directed by Chris Lilley and Stuart McDonald.
SUMMER HEIGHTS HIGH, which premiered on HBO Canada in November 2008, took a humourous and brutally honest look at life in an average public school, with Lilley playing all three lead roles. ANGRY BOYS, which debuted on HBO Canada in January 2012, followed the lives of average boys and men, displaying their day-to-day interactions and struggles to fulfill their obligations to family and friends, with Lilley playing all six main characters.
In Eastern Canada, episodes will be available in High Definition and on TMN GO, HBO Canada OnDemand, and HBO Canada OnLine.
In Western Canada, episodes will be available in High Definition on HBO Canada HD and On Demand via mobile and online with participating service providers.
