Jazz Air LP announces tentative agreement with its dispatchers' union

HALIFAX, March 7 /CNW/ - Jazz Air LP (Jazz) announced today that it has reached a tentative labour contract with its Dispatchers represented by the Canadian Air Line Dispatchers Association (CALDA).

CALDA represents approximately 60 Dispatchers employed at Jazz. Further details of the agreement will not be released pending ratification.

Jazz's Technical Services (Maintenance and Engineering) division ratified its agreement on September 12, 2009 and the airline's Customer Services and Aircraft Services divisions ratified their agreement on December 16, 2009. Both groups are represented by the Canadian Auto Workers (CAW). These collective agreements are part of the 2009-2010 renewal of all Jazz's labour contracts.

Negotiations with Jazz's 1300 pilots (represented by the Air Line Pilots Association) and 760 flight attendants (represented by the Canadian Flight Attendant Union) are ongoing.

Jazz is the second largest airline in Canada based on fleet size, operating approximately 770 flights daily to 82 destinations in Canada and the United States.
