Jazz Aviation LP (operating as Air Canada Express) Updates on Flight AC8481
HALIFAX, Nov. 7, 2014 /CNW/ - Jazz Aviation LP ("Jazz") confirms that following an incident that occurred last night upon the landing of flight AC8481 at Edmonton International Airport three of the four passengers sent to hospital have now been released while the fourth passenger remains under observation at this time. Flight AC8481, operated with a Q400 aircraft, was enroute to Grande Prairie from Calgary with 71 passengers and a crew of four onboard.
Late last evening, Jazz operated an extra flight to transport the majority of the passengers involved in this incident to Grande Prairie. Those passengers who remained in Edmonton overnight are expected to travel onwards today.
Our efforts continue to focus on the well-being of the passengers and crew members. Air Canada and Jazz are very grateful that there were no severe injuries and thank emergency response personnel on the scene for their support. Air Canada customer care representatives remain available to provide the best care and assistance to those affected.
Jazz is cooperating fully with the investigating authorities.
