Jean-Marc Léger appointed Chairman of the board of directors of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal for 2013-2014 Français
MONTREAL, Oct. 23, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - On the occasion of its annual meeting held today, the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal is pleased to announce that Jean-Marc Léger, President of Leger - The Research Intelligence Group, has been appointed Chairman of its board of directors for 2013-2014. Mr. Léger, who was the board's Vice-Chairman for the past year, takes over from Luc Sabbatini, President of Bell Media Sales.

A prominent figure in the Montréal business world and a talented communicator, Jean-Marc Léger has solid and wide-ranging experience in the strategic analysis of the behaviour of Quebecers, Canadians and Americans. His extensive knowledge of major trends has captivated audiences at over 500 speaking opportunities here and in the United States.
Jean-Marc Léger is the President of Leger ‒ The Research Intelligence Group, the largest Canadian-owned research and polling firm, with 10 offices and over 600 employees. The company's tremendous research expertise has made it one of the firms most consulted by business leaders, the political class and the media.
Under his management, the company has kept growing in recent years, through new acquisitions in Canada, the United States and Europe. Mr. Léger is President of the largest market research association in the world, the Worldwide Independent Network of Market Research (WIN), which brings together the largest independent research firms from 77 countries.
Jean-Marc Léger is very active in his industry and has been a board member for a number of organizations in the field of communications, including the TVA Group and Le Devoir. He is also Chairman of the board of the Université du Québec à Montréal and the Publicité Club de Montréal and is a board member for the Chaire Raoul-Dandurand and the Fondation de l'entrepreneurship.
As Chairman of the board for 2013-2014, and then as Retiring Chair of the board the following year, Mr. Léger will play a strategic role in the senior management of the Board of Trade and will ensure an increased presence at its activities. Throughout this period, he will also sit on the Board of Trade's executive committee.
