Jens Montanana Appointed Chairman of Westcon Group

TARRYTOWN, N.Y., Sept. 3, 2013 /CNW/ - Westcon Group, a value-added distributor of category-leading unified communications, network infrastructure, data center, and security solutions with a global network of specialty integration partners and resellers, today announced the company has appointed Jens Montanana as Chairman effective September 3.

Jens is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Westcon's parent, London and Johannesburg- listed Datatec Limited ("Datatec") -- which he developed into a global ICT solutions and services leader with more than 6,500 employees worldwide. During his tenure at Datatec, Westcon has become one of the market's leading specialty distributors in the channel, with revenues of approximately $4 billion.

Jens replaces John McCartney, who will remain a Non-Executive Director of Westcon.
