JHR's Second Annual Human Rights Reporting Award: Nominations are due!
TORONTO, Aug. 29, 2016 /CNW/ - Who is the best human rights reporter world-wide? Last year, our jury chose Christiane Amanpour of CNN. This is YOUR chance to nominate a colleague, a team, or apply yourself – and celebrate the extraordinary work of extraordinary journalists through the second Journalists for Human Rights Lifetime Achievement Award!
JHR celebrates journalists who have made a significant, lifetime contribution to human rights journalism. We define human rights journalism as coverage that directs attention to key human rights issues, in a way that triggers significant positive impact.
Nominations are now due for an individual whose work exemplifies JHR's grassroot principles of human rights reporting. You can nominate a colleague, a team of journalists or yourself here.
Nominations will be reviewed by JHR's Gala Committee and staff, and the award will be presented on October 6 at Night for Rights.
