TORONTO, June 21 /CNW/ - Organizers announced today that participant and sponsorship packages are sold out for the inaugural Joe Carter and Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament. On June 23, at Eagles Nest Golf Course, lucky golfers will join celebrity-led foursomes on a closed course to raise funds and awareness for the Children's Aid Foundation.
"I'm really excited to launch our annual tournament in Toronto in support of the Children's Aid Foundation," said Joe Carter, retired Toronto Blue Jay, five-time Major League Baseball All-Star and two-time World Series champion. REGISTRATION PROCESS
Journalists planning to attend the Joe Carter and Friends Celebrity Golf Tournament must pre-register by 4:00 p.m. ET on June 22, 2010. To do so, please email Nancy Vye at [email protected].
Journalists are required to show media credentials (photo ID with media outlet) to security to gain entry to Eagles Nest Golf Course. Freelancers will need to provide a letter indicating that they have been hired to cover the charity event on the outlet's official letterhead. Journalists are also required to sign in at a designated registration table, where they will be provided an access badge. Media registration begins at 9:00 a.m., access to celebrity golfers will run approximately 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on June 23, 2010.
