John Sicard of Kinaxis Double Award Winner at EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards
CEO of leading supply chain planning SaaS company takes home Enterprise Technology and overall EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017 Ontario award
TORONTO, Oct. 25, 2017 /CNW/ - John Sicard, Chief Executive Officer of Kinaxis® (TSX:KXS), provider of RapidResponse®, a leading cloud-based supply chain management solution based on concurrent planning, was recognized as the overall winner in EY's Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017 Ontario program at last night's gala in Toronto. He was also awarded the Enterprise Technology category win.
"At Kinaxis our singular focus is to revolutionize supply chain planning for the largest and most complex manufacturers in the world," said John Sicard while accepting the awards. "We're in the ring with the largest enterprise software companies in the world and we beat them."
Mr. Sicard continued: "Without the incredible support of the entire team at Kinaxis this achievement could not have been possible. Our view is that the greatest innovations come from diversity of thought. At Kinaxis our Autism at Work program is an extension of that passion for diversity of thinking and I'm proud to say that the program's success is driving phenomenal innovation."
"John is a values-driven leader with cunning eye for innovation," says Paula Smith, EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Ontario Program Co-Director. "For over two decades, John has helped transform Kinaxis from a small but mighty Ottawa-based supply chain software company into a global Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) leader."
"John's glass half-full approach to disruption continues to pay off," says Elena Doucette, Entrepreneur Of The Year Ontario Program Co-Director. "He's now turning his attention to another opportunity: the evolving workforce, prioritizing company culture, trust and transparency at each step of the way."
As the Ontario region's EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2017, Sicard will now represent Kinaxis at the national awards gala in Toronto on November 30, 2017. The overall winner of that event will represent Canada at the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year ceremony to be held in Monaco next June.
