Joint Statement by Baskin-Robbins and CAW (Local 462)

PETERBOROUGH, ON, July 27, 2012 /CNW/ - Baskin-Robbins and CAW Local 462 have announced that they have reached a closure agreement covering the company's employees who are represented by the CAW in their employment at the company's Peterborough plant. This agreement was ratified by CAW members this afternoon.

The agreement is a result of good faith negotiations between the company and the union. The Closure Agreement enhances existing layoff benefits provided in the collective bargaining agreement which will support these valued employees while they seek alternate employment.
