MONTREAL, Nov. 30, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Henri-Paul Rousseau, Chair of the Board of Directors of the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation, is thrilled to announce that Josée Noiseux has been appointed President and CEO of the Foundation. Ms. Noiseux will take office on Monday, December 4, 2017.
Ms. Noiseux is an experienced manager with a solid background in business strategy and partnership development. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Noiseux was the General Manager and Head of Advancement for the Montreal branch of the NewCities Foundation, an organization dedicated to making cities more socially, technologically, scientifically, and artistically innovative and she made it possible for NewCities to implement their programs in Montreal. She successfully organized two major summits, one in Montreal and the other in Songdo, Korea. Ms. Noiseux is a lawyer and member of the Quebec Bar Association and was a partner at one of Montreal's largest firms for more than 20 years. She also took part in several issue tables and committees on the evolution of the practice of law, both in her firm and at the Quebec Bar Association. In addition to her law studies, Ms. Noiseux holds a Bachelor's Degree in science and has worked on several projects related to the fields of medicine and science.
She is renowned for her leadership skills and throughout her career has shown a philanthropic commitment to various organizations. Over the past few years, Ms. Noiseux has been involved with the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal, Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont's Integrated Cancer Centre, St-Mary's Hospital, and Global Goodness.
She is a dedicated manager who has a keen interest for the fields of research and medicine and for building strong partnerships between players in the business, academic and research sectors.
"With more than 130 million dollars in assets, the Foundation plays a key role in helping the Montreal Heart Institute reach its goals and I am confident that the leadership skills of Ms. Noiseux and her knowledge of the fields of science and research will help the Foundation raise even more funds for the Institute. She will also be able to thoroughly understand the challenges it faces, especially in terms of research financing and innovation projects," said Mr. Rousseau.

The Board of Directors would also like to thank Ms. Mélanie La Couture for her exceptional contribution to the Foundation and her ability to mobilize a team to reach great heights over the last four years as the head of the Foundation. We will continue to work closely with Ms. La Couture because she has been appointed President and CEO of the Montreal Heart Institute.
