Joseph L. Rotman to receive Ernst & Young's Lifetime Achievement Award at October 10 gala

Chairman and CEO of Roy-L Capital Corporation honoured by Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year^® program

TORONTO, Sept. 17, 2012 /CNW/ - Ernst & Young is proud to honour Joseph L. Rotman, Chairman and CEO of Roy-L Capital Corporation, with the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2012 Ontario Lifetime Achievement Award for his significant accomplishments as a truly game-changing entrepreneur. He will receive the honour at a Toronto gala on October 10.

Joe began his entrepreneurial career in 1962. A difference maker, he has used his business acumen to shape and transform healthcare, education and the arts. He has been the founder, benefactor and member of many successful organizations, including Clairvest Group Inc., Tarragon Oil and Gas, Geocrude Energy, PanCana Resources, PanCana Minerals, Embassy Resources, the Rotman Research Institute and the Rotman School of Management. His accomplishments were recognized in 1995 with the Order of Canada, the highest honour bestowed to Canadian citizens.

The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Lifetime Achievement Award is about more than just recognition. It's about moral philanthropy. It celebrates the kind of public mentorship needed to continually renew Canada's business ecosystem by spotlighting business and community leadership at the highest level.
