An international relations expert, Joseph Caron has spent nearly 40 years building bridges between Canada and the rest of the world, acting for the Government of Canada and the private sector. During the last decade, he was successively Canada's Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, with concurrent accreditation to North Korea and to Mongolia; Canada's Ambassador to Japan; and High Commissioner to the Republic of India, with accreditation as Ambassador to Nepal and to Bhutan.
