Junior Golfers Play With Pros in the Scotiabank Women's Charity Challenge
TORONTO, Sept. 16 /CNW/ - Junior female golf players from across Ontario will have the opportunity to play with two of the finest woman golfers at the fourth Scotiabank Women's Charity Challenge.
The event, taking place at Magna Golf Club on Tuesday, September 21, will feature golf superstars Annika Sorenstam, who has taken part in this tournament since its beginning, and Natalie Gulbis.
"Scotiabank is proud to be able to offer these up-and-coming golfers the opportunity to meet and learn from Annika and Natalie, two of the sport's most talented women," said Sylvia Chrominska, Group Head, Global Human Resources and Communications, Scotiabank. "This event demonstrates how important it is for all women who have achieved success to take the time to work with young women who want to follow in their footsteps."
The day will include a nine hole shotgun tournament for participants and a clinic conducted by the golfing greats. The afternoon will feature a nine hole exhibition match by Sorenstam and Gulbis that will incorporate the nine top ranked Canadian Junior girls.
The junior players taking part in this year's event are: Jenna Hague of Burlington, Casey MacNeil of Massey, Meghan McDougall of Markham, Brogan McKinnon of Mississauga, Samantha Spencer of Georgetown and Vivian Tsui of Markham.
