Just Under $75,000 left to Go to Reach Christmas Kettle Goal
OTTAWA, Dec. 23rd, 2014 /CNW/ - The Salvation Army is still in need of about $75,000 to reach this year's $600,000 Christmas Kettle goal. The Kettle Campaign runs through December 24th.
The Christmas Kettle Campaign supports individuals and families with emergency food, warm clothing and utility assistance to those who need it during the cold winter months and all year round. The campaign also supports our Emergency Disaster Services program which supports victims and first responders during a crises or disaster. Our services support over 20,000 people in need each year in the Ottawa area
"If everyone donated one dollar to a Christmas Kettle we could by far surpass our goal. Every dollar donated to the Christmas Kettle Campaign stays local and makes a difference in people's lives." said Sean Maddox, Area Director of Public Relations and Development. "We are so appreciative of this very generous community."
You can make a $5 donation on your mobile device by texting HOPE5040 to 45678. Donations can also be made online at FilltheKettle.com at SalvationArmy.ca, by calling 1-800-SAL-ARMY, or via mail to The Salvation Army Public Relations Dept. 820 Woodroffe Ave. Ottawa K2A 3V7. Please specify Christmas Kettle Campaign.
