MONTREAL, Nov. 14, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - A documentary film crew followed Justin Trudeau in his training in the weeks leading up to fight night. What they captured is stunning. Justin Trudeau is revealed through original cinematography and rare archival footage—candid and unscripted like we've never seen him before, and possibly never will again. The film is now available for viewing by journalists on request.
Filmmakers Guylaine Maroist and Éric Ruel (Les Productions de la Ruelle) had unprecedented access to their protagonists, drawing them into an intimate space in which the camera was practically forgotten. The result is an honest, unbiased look at one of Canada's most prominent politicians and a thrilling portrayal of the much-anticipated fight against Conservative senator Patrick Brazeau in a charity boxing match.
The world premiere of the film God Save Justin Trudeau is on November 18th, at Excentris cinema in Montreal, as part of the Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM). The film is already available in DVD format, and will be aired on Canal D on December 14th.
Film excerpts, posters and photographs are available on request.
