IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 18, 2019 /CNW/ -- John Maloney, a highly accomplished and experienced automotive executive, has joined Southern California-based Karma Automotive as Chief Revenue Officer.
Maloney will play a crucial leadership role in the deployment of Karma's expansive business and product introduction strategy; 'Value-Forward', announced by Karma CEO Dr. Lance Zhou in late 2018. He will oversee the company's Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, PR and After Sales functions.
"John brings an extensive commercial skillset to our business and has the experience and leadership qualities needed to help deliver Karma's strong and well-funded future," Zhou said. "Karma continues to attract top talent who possess the enterprise mindset that is needed to achieve our business goals and execute a robust product introduction plan through the next decade."
Maloney joins Karma after most recently holding several consultancy and advisory roles and is widely renowned in the automotive sector after 14 years with Volvo Cars of North America where he served as President & CEO. In his role at Volvo Cars, Maloney assumed responsibility for all US business operations, encompassing marketing, sales, parts, service and technology, leading a return to growth for the company. Prior to becoming Volvo Cars North America's President & CEO, Maloney was VP, Marketing for nine years.
Maloney began his career at Ford Motor Company where he held a variety of sales and marketing roles within Ford Global Marketing, Lincoln Mercury Division and Ford Customer Service Division before joining Volvo Cars in 2000. "I'm delighted to be joining Karma at this exciting time for the brand. Much has already been quietly achieved to set the foundations in place for the future of the company. I look forward to joining the team and building on the work that has already been done," Maloney said.
