ALPINE, UT, March 6, 2014 /CNW/ - Clifton Mining Company's partner Desert Hawk Gold Corp. has broken ground on the construction of a heap leach precious metals operation on the Kiewit Zone. A picture of Rick Havenstrite, President of Desert Hawk, on a dozer officially starting the construction process, is now available on Clifton's website under the new tab Kiewit Project Pictures. The funding for the project is already in place. The large scale mining permits and bonds have been issued. We expect that construction will be finished and gold recoveries are expected from the project before the end of this year. Desert Hawk expects to recover as much as 20,000 ounces of gold annually from the project. Clifton will receive a five percent (5%) net smelter royalty return from all minerals recovered from the Kiewit Zone Gold Project.
Clifton trades on the U.S. OTC: (CFTN).
