Kellogg Canada Marks World Food Day by Recognizing an Outstanding Breakfast Club Volunteer Making a Difference
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Oct. 16, 2017 /CNW/ - Breakfast programs in Canada rely on generous volunteers who give their time to help make a positive difference in the lives of students, both inside and outside the classroom. To recognize and reward these community heroes, The Kellogg Canada Feeding Better Days Award asked Canadians to nominate someone who had positively impacted the lives of students as a Breakfast Club volunteer. The winner of the inaugural award is Pat Fukunaga of E.J. Sand Public School in Thornhill, ON, who was surprised and recognized earlier this month with a $10,000 donation to enhance her school's breakfast program.
