August of all-time.

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Sept. 1 /CNW/ - Kia Canada Inc. achieved the best-ever August sales month in its eleven year history while continuing the company's sales streak of 20 months of year-over-year sales increases. Total sales for the month reached 5430 units, up 16.2 per cent versus August 2009. Kia Canada sales through the first 8 months of the year continues to out-pace industry with a 17.9 per cent increase in 2010. Kia Canada has sold 37,588 units through August 2010.

Of the top ten volume manufacturers in Canada, Kia Canada has now moved into the number two position in terms of industry growth rate in Canada. "Kia Canada continues to build momentum in sales growth in Canada" said Maria Soklis, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Kia Canada Inc. "It is apparent that our fresh portfolio, designed for the young-at-heart coupled with quality and value has is resonating with more and more Canadian consumers".

August Highlights

Kia Canada Inc. experienced the best August on record in its eleven year history in Canada:

    
    -   The Kia Forte model lineup, Kia Canada's best-selling vehicles for
        the month and year-to-date recorded 1257 total sales in August 2010.
        The compact sedan and 'Koup' models continue to create demand for
        Canadians with an 79.8 per cent increase versus August 2009.

    -   The Kia Soul, urban crossover continues to impress consumers selling
        949 vehicles for the month of August and sustaining a 9.3 per cent
        increase versus previous year.
    

August Incentives

Kia Canada retailers continue to clear-out 2010 vehicles with the announcement of "The 2010 Final Clearout" until the end of September. In addition, 0% finance for select 2011 up to five years coupled with "three free payments" are the best offers to date in 2010 with the Kia Canada product line-up. Cash buyers can also select up to eight vehicles from Kia Canada's line-up for under $20,000.
