Kia continues record breaking sales pace - Company records 14th month of
consecutive sales growth
MISSISSAUGA, ON, March 2 /CNW/ - Kia's strong sales momentum continued in February with record breaking results of 3,001 units. This was the first time in the company's eleven year history that Kia has achieved 3,000 units in the February retail period. February also marked the fourteenth month of consecutive sales growth for the company. Continuing to post double digit sales increases, Kia Canada is up 35.1% over the same period last year and 33.9% year-to-date.
Kia's positive sales momentum was spurred on by the recent addition of the all-new 2011 Sorento to its winning line-up. The Sorento, accounting for 389 units in only its first month of retail sales, buoyed the successful performances of the Forte, Soul and Rio at 773,600 and 595 units respectively. Although Kia experienced sales increases across the country, the performance of the Atlantic and Western Regions are of particular note, achieving record breaking increases of over 70% versus the same period last year.
