KidzFest delivers family fun at Yonge-Dundas Square
TORONTO, Nov. 22, 2013 /CNW/ - Downtown Yonge Business Improvement Area's (DYBIA) annual KidzFest is getting ready to rock Yonge Dundas Square on Saturday November 23, 2013 with creative crafts, carousel rides and the kids' much-loved cartoon characters.
Presented by local Tim Hortons restaurant owners, KidzFest is above all else, a celebration of family.
"As more and more people move into the downtown, it's important that we offer entertainment for the whole family. What better than a kids festival on the Square?" asks DYBIA executive director Mark Garner.
KidzFest offers a range of activities for both kids and the young at heart.
Let imaginations and creativity run wild at the Play Doh Centre and craft booth, or watch live stage shows for the whole family.
Fun and fitness meet on the TumbleBus, with monkey bars, rings, slides and a zipline to keep the kids busy and active.
Meet the kids' favourite personalities including My Little Pony, SpongeBob, the WotWots and characters from the new Lego movie.
And for the first time this year, Santa will be making an appearance!
"After spending some time doing kid-friendly activities, families can share a meal at one of our area's kid-friendly restaurants, take in a movie together, or just enjoy a stroll along Yonge Street to enjoy the holiday lights," suggests Garner.
KidzFest is happening on Saturday November 23, 2013 at Yonge-Dundas Square from 11am to 5 pm.
