Collection boasts new design, innovation and an industry-first black stainless steel finish
MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 16, 2015 /CNW/ - Beginning a new chapter in its celebrated history as a kitchen innovator, KitchenAid unveiled a dramatically redesigned major appliance collection available in a range of finishes including stainless steel, black, white and an industry-first black stainless steel. This is the first KitchenAid collection to launch globally, with Canadian availability starting in May 2015.
"KitchenAid is about inspiring culinary creativity, so every part of this collection is meant to serve as an invitation to not only admire, but to cook, explore and push boundaries in the kitchen," says Aleksandra Stratton, Senior Marketing Manager, KitchenAid.
New design features include a signature red KitchenAid brand medallion that caps the ends of the elegant handles found on its products. Additional details include handles etched with a professional style, cross-hatch pattern to enhance grip and chrome trim to frame the windows.
Behold the new black
A key element of the new collection is the industry-first black stainless steel finish. A bold, fresh and dramatic finish, black stainless steel is professionally inspired like stainless steel, but more subtle and fashion forward.
"Like traditional stainless steel, black stainless steel has a satiny lustre, but paired with a modern sleekness that makes its own bold style statement," says Stratton. "It allows the design nuances of both the appliances and the kitchen itself to stand out."
Distinctive design meets high performance
Distinctive design elements of the new collection aren't limited to the exterior - they also indicate the high performance found inside the appliances, with a number of innovative performance features:
- Industry-first five door refrigerator features temperature controlled drawers and dedicated herb storage space. In addition, The Preserva® Food Care System helps extend freshness, minimizes odours and delays over-ripening of fruits and vegetables*. Also, included are premium design features like soft close drawers, metal trim on shelves and a beautiful platinum coloured interior.
- New front control ranges include a rack for steam cooking, a baking drawer that can act as a second oven and a wireless meat probe that will signal when the desired temperature has been reached. Even-Heat™ True Convection, with an exclusive bowtie design and convection fan ensures even cooking results without having to rotate racks.
- Dishwasher with a window has a unique design and the new Clean Water Wash System, which continuously filters the wash water for outstanding cleaning performance. Another performance feature is the unique nine-in-one, dynamic wash arm that sprays water everywhere in the dishwasher, including hard to reach places, delivering three times more cleaning coverage**. KitchenAid is the best performing dishwasher brand without rinse aid***.
