Korem strengthens its partnership with Pitney Bowes Software and expands its offering in France Français
The two firms' combined geospatial technology expertise is now available to major companies in France and other European countries.
PARIS, France, Feb. 14, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Korem, a specialist in geospatial technology development and integration, is setting up shop in Paris as official reseller for Pitney Bowes Software (PBS) in France. This move strengthens Korem's partnership with PBS, a global leader in customer data, analytics, communication software and services, who is an existing French reseller of Korem solutions.
Korem and PBS have been partners in Canada and the U.S. for over 15 years now. Their combined expertise, spanning a vast range of professional services and geospatial technology solutions, will now offer large French firms a combined offering previously unavailable anywhere in Europe.
"Our companies are joining forces today, bringing together Korem's geospatial and decision-making technology expertise with PBS's data analysis know-how. We have a great offering for the French business market, and particularly large organizations," commented Thierry Teisseire, Regional Director, Southern Region and General Manager, France for Pitney Bowes Software.
Newly available solutions that deliver tangible benefits
The Korem-PBS partnership gives European businesses powerful new tools to boost the effectiveness of their marketing campaigns with socio-demographic analysis, develop new markets, enhance customer service quality, and optimize infrastructure planning management.
The partnership covers PBS MapInfo and Spectrum solutions as well as PBS' geospatial data.
"Spatial analysis of geographic data is an aspect of strategy that businesses can no longer afford to ignore. Our GIS and other location intelligence products boost businesses' strategic planning capability by integrating geographic, proximity, and risk factors—all to better serve citizens and consumers. These services are the key to operational effectiveness and a driver of growth," said Sébastien Vachon, president and founder of Korem.
The services Korem offers with PBS are designed to meet the needs of businesses in a number of verticals including banking and insurance, telecommunications, distribution, and energy. Korem offers companies in these fields its proven know-how in integrating operational systems and data warehouses and providing training and support for its signature development products and solutions tailored to businesses' needs.
"We want to add value to PBS's current offering in France by providing professional implementation support for solutions tailored to our clients' markets. It's a model that has worked for us in the past, first in Québec, then in North America," Vachon added. "Today, we are putting business development for Europe in the able hands of our executive vice president, Jean-Sébastien Turcotte, who has over 15 years of experience in the field." Mr. Turcotte will work out of the PBS offices in Levallois-Perret from the beginning in February.
