On October 21, 2015, the short seller Citron Research issued a report alleging that Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. has failed to disclose the creation of a network of pharmacies that were set up for the purpose of creating fraudulent invoices to deceive its auditors and improperly record revenue. Upon the release of Citron Research's report, Valeant's share price on the TSX dropped dramatically.
