TORONTO, Aug. 2, 2017 /CNW/ - In response to the devastating wildfires in British Columbia, Kraft Heinz is donating over 50,000 pounds of food to the 100 Mile House Food Bank near Williams Lake.
"We at Kraft Heinz want to make sure we do our part to ensure that everyone impacted by the wildfires has access to the nutritious food they need" says Av Maharaj, Vice President of Corporate and Legal Affairs.
In the past year, Kraft Heinz has contributed an additional $12.4 million in food donations to food banks across Canada. Since 2003, Kraft Heinz has also provided $3.4 million in cash funding to Food Banks Canada to support increased food distribution through capacity building and food acquisition expansion.
