Kriska wins two prestigious industry awards
TORONTO, Feb. 11, 2014 /CNW/ - Kriska Holdings Limited (Kriska) is pleased to announce it has won two prestigious industry awards. First, Kriska was selected as one of North America's 20 Best Fleets to Drive for by The Truckload Carriers Association. Second, Kriska was awarded Kraft Foods' 2013 Regional Award for Transportation Excellence for the Canada region.
"We are humbled to win such high praise from our two most important constituents - our employees and our customers," notes Mark Seymour, CEO of Kriska. "Being recognized as a Best Fleet to Drive for reinforces that the effort we put into the well-being of our drivers is paying off. This award shows that the sky-high turnover rates that we see from some carriers are simply not necessary: if you pay people a good wage, provide them with new and reliable equipment, and most importantly treat them with respect and value their opinions, our entire industry can overcome the capacity shortage that we are experiencing."
Jonathan Wahba, COO of Kriska notes "it is a tremendous honour to be selected by Kraft as their Canada region carrier of the year. Kriska and Kraft have been doing business together for over 20 years, and our partnership would not be possible without the dedicated work of our associates - both on the road, and in our offices. We appreciate Kraft's collaborative approach to doing business, and look forward to supporting them for years to come."
