La Brasserie Labatt supports the Tuques Bleues Celebration - Les amis de la montagne benefits from a Better World Français
LASALLE, QC, Feb. 14, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Constantly committed to creating "The Best Beer Company in a Better World," La Brasserie Labatt is proud to announce its partnership with Les amis de la montagne for the 15th edition of the Tuques Bleues Celebration. More than 600 participants are expected to attend this February 16 benefit evening based on a 19th-century Montreal tradition, as torch-bearing snowshoers wearing blue tuques will climb Mount Royal.
"This is a truly fitting partnership for Labatt," explains Jennifer Damiani, the Brewery's Manager of Communications. "This initiative by Les amis de la montagne encourages educational and preservation programs about Mount Royal, a true symbol for Montrealers. And the Tuques Bleues event will also be marked by an atmosphere of fun and friendship."
La Brasserie Labatt will provide $10,000 for this partnership. "The conservation initiatives of Les amis de la montagne meet the objectives of our Better World program, which include limiting the impact of our operations on the environment and contributing to the betterment of society through all sorts of actions," Ms. Damiani adds.
In addition to the financial partnership, La Brasserie Labatt, true to its tradition of taking tangible actions, is rallying its employees around the cause. "We have created a team of 10 employees who will snowshoe up Mount Royal at nightfall," Ms. Damiani says. "We will also be encouraging all of our employees to take part in the different activities organized by Les amis de la montagne throughout the year."
