, president and publisher of La Presse, announced today that management of La Presse has entered into an agreement in principle with its four unions affiliated with the FTQ (advertising, preparation, internal printing and boiler room).
Details of the agreement will be revealed to employees at general meetings taking place during the day tomorrow,
Thursday, October 29
, when members of the unions concerned will be invited to vote in favour of the terms of the new agreements.
In related developments, negotiations are continuing with the four CSN unions (editorial staff, clerical staff, computing and distribution).
