MONTREAL, July 1, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - La Queue de Cheval Steakhouse, Bar & Cigar Lounge will be officially closed for renovations and will reopen this fall at their new historic location at 1181 rue de la Montagne. This building was occupied in the late 1800s during the American Civil War by General Jefferson Davis. Now it will be carefully restored and renovated by the MRG Group to house the crowned jewel 'La Queue de Cheval' with the addition of their new bar, called the 'Angry Lobster Bar'.
After 10 months of working and running 'La Queue de Cheval' at the iconic 1234 de la Montagne address, we will be moving July 1st and leaving behind only the echoes of our guests and our staff rumbling in their halls.
To all our guests that may hold any gift certificates or invitations to the Q, please note that they will be honored to our new location.
The historic building of 1181 rue de la Montagne will have three floors with two verandas and private dining facilities with an award winning wine cellar previewed. We will continue our award winning dry aging program and we will be exploring meats from Atlantic Canada and expanding our kobe beef program.
Much of our staff will return to guide and help our guests with the finest dining experience that they are accustomed to.
We will be anticipating to welcoming all our guests prior to the inauguration of the hockey season in Montreal this fall. We would like to thank everyone for their support during a very interesting and eventful year.
