MONTREAL, Jan. 17, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Janine Durette has been named Park President of Montreal-based theme park La Ronde. She is the first woman to occupy the role of park president for La Ronde, since its inception in 1967. Janine succeeds Phil Liggett who has joined Six Flags St. Louis as Park President.
"Janine's work as Director of Finance for the past 5 years has been nothing less than stellar," said Six Flags Senior Vice President of International Park Operations, David McKillips. "She is already very familiar with La Ronde—the employees, and the culture, which puts her in an ideal position to take the park to new heights."
"I am honored and very excited to occupy the role of park president for La Ronde" said Durette. "I look forward to the challenges of this new role and contributing to the park's exciting future, as one of the landmark entertainment venues in Montreal."
Prior to joining La Ronde and Six Flags, Durette worked as Controller for Lansdowne Technologies, Vice-President Finance for Harris-Decima, and as Vice-President of Finance for Messaging Architects. She holds an MBA from Athabasca University and is a member of the Quebec CPA order.
