Scares, Thrills and Fireworks to Light up the Night
MONTREAL, May 14, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - On May 16, La Ronde, Quebec's leading destination for thrills and family entertainment, welcomes guests for its 49th season. Starting at 10:30 a.m., guests are invited to join the Opening Day celebration and visit the all-new haunted attraction Maison Rouge – Labyrinth of Terror. The park's mascot, Ribambelle and her friends The Zs will also be on hand to greet and scare everyone. 2015 promises thrills and chills for the entire family. The season highlights include:
Maison Rouge – Labyrinth of Terror
La Ronde is turning up the fear factor in 2015 with the addition of Maison Rouge, an all-new haunted attraction. This bone-chilling labyrinth of terror will leave all those brave enough to walk through its doors screaming for mercy! The carnival left decades ago, leaving behind ruin and decay, but the funhouse still stands, rotting and filled with evil. The clowns, once friendly and fun, have turned insane and demented. The journey begins with fun…and finishes with blood! Two frightening paths through the attraction will take guests into a multitude of rooms, a labyrinth of evil and darkness from which they must escape.
Leucan Shaved Head Challenge
On May 24, La Ronde will host the Leucan Shaved Head Challenge. Participants will put a price on their heads to raise funds from their entourage: family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues. For its 15th anniversary, the Challenge will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most heads shaved simultaneously in four hours. All the profits will go directly to Leucan.
L'International des Feux Loto-Québec
The 31st edition of The Fireworks competition takes place July 1 - August 1.t. The season opens with a Salute to Our Troops featuring a very lively soundtrack performed by musicians from the Royal 22nd Régiment Band. Other themes will include a pyro-history of Rock 'n' Roll, an invitation to an amazing Road Trip, and a pyromusical journey through the Four Seasons of Vivaldi. This year's edition will conclude with a Tribute to Madonna, featuring mega hits such as Like a Prayer, Don't cry for me Argentina, and the singer's most recent success, Living for love.
