The amusement park invites Montrealers to come and celebrate the launch of its 48th season
MONTREAL, May 16, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The 2014 season at La Ronde kicks off this Saturday, May 17 at 10:00 a.m. The amusement park invites Montrealers to bring the entire family and celebrate the park's 48th season with the opening of its thrilling new ride – Demon. The park's mascot, Ribambelle and her friends The Z's will also be on hand to greet guests. World class entertainment and fun for guests of all ages awaits visitors to La Ronde. Among the 2014 highlights :
DÉMON, a diabolical new ride
This year, guests will be under the devil's spell when boarding DÉMON, a ride that will carry away passengers in a whirl of pure adrenalin and big thrills. Those who will dare confront the fierce DÉMON will be at the mercy of two large metallic arms that will take them away in a series of infernal spins. Beware! The movements of this devilish ride are totally unpredictable. The 32 passengers who will be boarding DÉMON will be swung upside down up to 14 metres high and twirled around between earth and sky. Riders may also be the target of one of the sixteen water jets spouting out from the ride's depths. DÉMON is presented by Frank's RedHot.

La Ronde will celebrate Christmas on July 24 and 25. Santa Claus will take a temporary leave from the North Pole to come and meet the little visitors of La Ronde.
