Largest Charity Golf Tournament in the Province Set to Take Off

ST. JOHN'S, NL, May 3, 2013 /CNW/ - Wishes Take Flight is the largest charity golf tournament ever assembled in Newfoundland & Labrador. In a wonderful new partnership, Provincial Airlines and Innu Mikun Airlines has paired with the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada to host the inaugural "Wishes Take Flight Charity Golf Tournament" in five locations across the province: Clovelly Golf Course (St. John's, June 6th), The Gander Golf Club (Gander, June 8th), Amaruk Golf Club (Happy Valley-Goose Bay, June 8th), Tamarack Golf Course (Wabush, June 8th), & Humber Valley Resort (Corner Brook, Aug 22nd).

The tournament kickoff is June 6th at Clovelly Golf Course and closing celebrations will be held August 9th, at Humber Valley Golf Course in Corner Brook with the help of the Western Region RCMP. The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada

Each year, thousands of Canadian children between the ages of three and 17 are diagnosed with a life threatening illness.  Since 1984, The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada has worked tirelessly to grant exceptional wishes to over 19,000 children and their families, over 600 of these here in Newfoundland and Labrador.
