WINNIPEG, MB, Sept. 29, 2020 /CNW/ - The National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation (NCTR) in collaboration with the Orange Shirt Day Society, is marking its largest-ever Reconciliation event, Every Child Matters: Reconciliation Through Education, with more than 450,000 students and teachers registered for the September 30 virtual event.
This year's event is taking part as a 90-minute livestream broadcast that will be available for all Canadians to watch and learn from.
Spokespeople are available to speak about the significance of Orange Shirt Day to Truth and Reconciliation in Canada, including:
- Ry Moran, Director of the NCTR
- Phyllis Webstad, Founder of the Orange Shirt Day Society
- Stephanie Scott, Director of Operations of the NCTR
The Every Child Matters: Reconciliation Through Education broadcast will be available for all Canadians on Facebook, YouTube, and education.nctr.ca.
