Canadian Birthday Party just one of the Oh-Oh-Oreo Special Events being Held Around the World
TORONTO, March 6, 2012 /CNW/ - Happy Birthday Oreo! Today - Tuesday, March 6, 2012 - Oreo cookies turn 100! Canadian Oreo lovers came out to celebrate at a public birthday party in the Toronto Eaton Centre where a giant, 15' Oreo cookie replica was unveiled. Comedian Colin Mochrie hosted the fun-filled event and 2012 Juno-nominated artist, Jully Black, led thousands of fans in singing "Happy Birthday" to Oreo. At the Toronto party, a giant birthday gift was "unwrapped" to reveal the one-of-a-kind, larger-than-life Oreo. Everyone enjoyed milk and Oreo cookies at the Natrel Fine-filtered Milk Bar, and hundreds of Oreo Birthday Cupcakes were handed out to the crowd. "Whether you're 8 or 80, Oreo has the power to connect people through shared moments and shared memories," says Emmanuelle Voirin, Senior Brand Manager, Oreo. "We thank everyone who came out to 'twist, lick and dunk' with us today and we encourage all Canadians to join the party all year long."
